One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: "Aren’t you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!" But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:39-43 (NIV)
The conversation between Jesus and the two thieves reveals important insight.
One individual is humble and seeking.
Because of the posture of his heart, he receives everything!
That is the power of grace.
Everything can change in a moment. When we confess our sins and humbly seek connection with God, we receive eternity in exchange. That is the redemptive power of God’s unconditional love.
There is nothing that you confess that Jesus won’t forgive.
Receiving peace with God is as simple for you as it was for the thief beside Jesus at the crucifixion - receive your free ticket to paradise.
